MEZCO TOYZ Promote Their New Classic 1966 BATMAN TV Series Figures and Batmobile Toys in NYC!

Our good buddy, Bob DeSimone, hit a grand slam in NYC earlier this week when he appeared as the Official "Adam West" BATMAN for the NY Manhattan Premiere of the new MEZCO TOYZ line of Classic 1966 TV series items. Bob showed up driving an amazing 1966 Batmobile Replica Car ( Supplied by our good friend, "Brooklyn John" ). Then he wowed the crowd with his incredible likeness to our favorite TV character.

Of course all this hype was to promote the brand-new line of 1966 BATMAN Mez-Itz toys being made by Mezco. You can see what both the actual toys and packaging look like in a few pics (especially the 1st pic). It also looks like Catwoman appeared at one point to try and steal some stuff... what a blast!

Overall the entire event went really well and Bob was kind enough to send us some really great pics. All the photos pretty much explain themselves so please be sure to check 'em all out and enjoy (Thanks Bob & BatDave).

Over at the COMICS OUTTA BE FUN Website our friend Bully has just completed a series of posts that are pretty interesting and also a valuable resource for fans of the Caped Crusader. The posts we're talking about were all titled, "There Is No Hope in Crime Alley", and they cover the history and importance of the exact location where a young Bruce Wayne saw his parents killed and then later vowed to "avenge their deaths by spending the rest of my life warring on all criminals".

You can read PART ONE by clicking RIGHT HERE and then, once you're at the site, be sure to view the side-bar on the right-hand side for links to read all 24 parts.

Photos of Some Fresh Tattoos of BATMAN and THE JOKER!

Since my "Batman Tattoo" Folder is getting outta control ( look for more to be posted soon ) I thought I'd post these 2 most recent ones and then I'm working on getting some more ready. if you have sent a pic and haven't seen it yet then I apologize, I have been busy and I do really try to get them all up. It's just that I don't want the site to be "Batman Tattoo-City" and I try to spread them out. Whew! OK, enough whining, let's go!

This first image is an awesome Joker Tattoo all the way from Germany! The other cool thing is that it's based on Brian Bolland artwork from "The Killing Joke" Graphic Novel (DC Comics). The Tattoo Artist also added a sharp Bat-Symbol Logo at the bottom... nice!

Next up is another submission from an awesome Bat-Blog Batman Fan. His name is Pat and he recently got this one of the Dark Knight. It looks like the photo was taken just seconds after getting it done so there is some redness. Otherwise, it's very cool and looks like a "comic book" version too.

Thanks to everybody who likes to share their Tattoo Photos and just because I'm a little behind right now don't let that keep you from sending them in. We love to celebrate BATMAN here every way we can!

BATMAN FANS Get Artsy and Crafty!!

Here's a quick post just to share some amazing Arts and Craft projects from a few very dedicated Batman Fans out there. The 1st example is pretty cool. Here's a large Pottery Planter refurbished with some old pieces of broken tiles and plates. Hey, I'd be proud to display it.

Next up is a cute idea for making a Batgirl-themed Apron. This is perfect for Summer bar-b-ques and would also be kinda sexy in the kitchen ( If you know what I mean, wink wink ).

Then, last but not least is a working Bat-Signal Light some extremely talented Wielder made one weekend. This would be a fun outdoor light fixture to display in the backyard with that Bat-B-Q we were just talking about, ha!

So, have YOU done anything "crafty" or creative lately that involves the Dark Knight? If so, then please send us some pics today.

1966 Batmobile Car + Breaking Bad = Awesome!!

Here's a photo we're posting... just for fun! Obviously it's the 1966 Batmobile Car, but if you're a HUGE Fan of the "Breaking Bad" TV Series then you'll recognize the Actor, Dean Norris, who plays "Hank the DEA Agent" on the show. He was a guest at a recent Comic Book Convention where he got to stand near the most beautiful car in the world!

New 2013 DC Comics POP HEROES Batman Figures by FUNKO Toys!

I totally love Funko Toys so getting to report on these new products they have planned is kinda fun. It looks like they're expanding their line of DC Comics POP HEROES Figures with a few more new Batman-related characters.

Look for: The"Batman Beyond" animated series, Nightwing, and a Harley Quinn! Hey, didn't they already make one of her before? Anyway, you can find these around the end of the year, maybe in October.

New AUTO WORLD PENGUIN MOBILE 1966 Batmobile Slot Car Seen at Hobby Lobby

OK, we have reported about this new Classic 1966 BATMAN TV Series toy before. But this post is mainly to share the news that one of our friends, Dave in Oklahoma City, spotted this very hard-to-find item at his local Hobby Lobby Store just the other day so if you're looking for one they're still out there, lurking about.

What we're talking about is this AUTO WORLD 1966 Batmobile Slot Car by 4Gear that is just a very weird variation, it's the "Penguin Mobile". This "Television Car" actually appeared in the 1960's TV Show when the Penguin stole the Batmobile and then made it his own by sticking a red umbrella and other "Penguin weapons" on it. Yes, they actually made a toy of that, ha! But Mattel made one as well, a Hot Wheels car in fact, so there ya go! (Thanks Dave)

We also finally get a very good look at Batman's new bat-suit. It actually looks pretty much the same as normal except for the special bat-belt. Here at the Bat-Blog we love to celebrate creativity in all of it's forms. So, when a friend shared this photo of his latest project he's been working on we were pretty excited!

This is our friend Nick and he has started an incredible costume based on the Classic "Batman: Gotham By Gaslight" Graphic Novel book. As soon as we saw it, we knew we had to post it!!
